GCC-TBC typing exam: what the 30 and 40 WPM certificates mean

GCC-TBC (Government Commercial Certificate — Typing Basic Course) is conducted for English and Marathi typing at 30 WPM and 40 WPM levels. Government recruitment advertisements usually specify which level and language they require.

From a genuine beginner level, reaching 30 WPM with acceptable accuracy typically takes about three months of daily practice, and 40 WPM takes closer to five or six months. Practice consistency matters far more than talent.
